Builder.

Jaiden Medina is a Computer Engineering student at Indiana University Bloomington's Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, expected to graduate in 2027. He has accepted an Accelerated 4+1 M.S. offer in Intelligent Systems Engineering with a Computer Engineering specialization, beginning Fall 2026.

His technical work spans embedded systems, edge AI, digital logic design, data engineering, hardware reliability, robotics, and manufacturing optimization — each grounded in a core belief that engineering should create real, human-centered impact.

His long-term interest is in healthcare, medical device technology, and human-centered systems — building engineering solutions that improve daily life through reliable hardware, intelligent software, and data-driven design.

He pairs that technical foundation with deep organizational leadership through SHPE, Tau Epsilon Kappa, and the Luddy School Student Ambassador program — building community, mentoring peers, and opening doors for underrepresented students in STEM.

and Belonging

Jaiden's technical work is inseparable from his community work. He founded SHPE IUB as a space where underrepresented students in STEM could find mentorship, professional connection, and a sense of belonging — not just an organization, but a real community built from scratch.

From Minorities in STEM Night to the Latin Mixer to Luddy Friendsgiving, every event has been intentional: connect students, open doors, and show that STEM is for everyone.

Through TEK Beta Chapter, founded at Indiana University in 2026, he serves as a founding class member and VP of Technical Development — leading technical programming that turns students into engineers who can build, present, and collaborate, not just complete coursework.
